As a non-profit organization, Victim Outreach, Inc. receives funding and support from a wide range of grants, government agencies, companies and individuals - all of which is stewarded thoughtfully and respectfully with our Mission Statement in mind: to support victims of crime and trauma.
- we receive funding from the police departments of eight Jefferson County municipalities with which we contract to provide victim services required by the Colorado constitution
- we receive grants from VOCA, VALE and Stop VAWA, which are local, state and federal grants funded from fines paid by convicted criminals
- businesses and foundations make financial contributions
- the private sector contributes through individual gifts and through ticket and auction item purchases at our annual fundraiser
- board members make financial and in-kind contributions as part of their service to the agency
- in-kind donations and discounts from volunteers, the police departments we serve and the business community subsidizes the our costs and include
- donation of our current office space
- workspace in each police department
- digital pagers
- office furniture
- blankets and emergency supplies
- stuffed animals for our "Officer Hugs" program
- copier paper
- color printing
- a team of volunteers provides overnight, weekend and holiday coverage which allows us to provide 24 / 7 / 365 coverage with an advocate staff of seven
