Courage Walk

Please consider joining us on Saturday, April 27th, 2024 for the 31st Annual Courage Walk. The walk is being held at the Jefferson County Courts and Administration Building located at 100 Jefferson County Parkway, Golden, CO 80401. This event celebrates over three decades of extraordinary progress made on behalf of millions of victims since the passage of the Victims of Crime Act (VOCA). This commemorative week has been set aside since 1981 to honor crime victims and the first responders, advocates, counselors, and others who assist them in their time of need, as well as the law enforcement personnel who work to bring offenders to justice.

We envision the day when all victims are strengthened by the response they receive, organizations are resilient in response to challenges, and communities are able to seek collective justice and healing.

You can pre-register for the event by clicking here or by visiting victimoutreach.org. Under the funding designation, choose Courage Walk.

Donor’s bricks may be purchased for $100, engraved either in honor of a loved one or with the donor’s name and will be placed at the courage garden to create a patio and paths. The first bricks will be set in a spiral, a symbol that represents the journey and change of life as it unfolds, aligned with the Garden’s purpose: “dedicated to the courage of those who reclaim their lives and move beyond victimization. The patio will begin just above the pond in an area where benches of three fallen officers have been placed. Thank you for your support of this important project.
